Early registration is very important as the Board uses registration numbers to decide how many teams will be formed at each grade level and then to enter those teams in area tournaments for the upcoming season.  Some local tournaments have already begun taking registrations for the fall and winter.  Because of this fact, Eagan Traveling Basketball elected to impose a $50.00 late fee for any registrations received after the August 10th deadline.

Please check our tryouts page for more information about tryouts:

Please note, you will be prompted to log in or create an NGIN account (if you don't have one) prior to registering your child.  This is required to register.

In an effort to ease the transition into the traveling program, Eagan Basketball is proud to offer a new program for our 3rd graders who are looking for a competitive option to help the transition to travel ball in 4th grade.

The new 3rd Grade Taste of Travel program will run from January to March 2019.  The program is in addition to regular in-house season and requires a separate registration.  The cost of the program is $165, and registration will run throughout the month of November 2018.

The fee includes:

  • 1-2, 60-90-minute practices per week
  • 3 sessions at the Minnesota School of Basketball
  • 3 travel tournaments spread throughout January, February, and early March.

This is a highly competitive program, reserved for those players who are serious about continuing to play competitively in future years. There will be a 1-hour evaluation practice to form equal teams and to make sure this is a good fit in mid-late December. If you are unsure if your child would be a good fit for this program, please plan to have a discussion with your coach prior to registering.

  • 4th grade boys and 5/6th grade girls will participate in the newly formed South Suburban Youth Basketball League, which is composed of teams from Farmington, Eastview, and Rosemount. Games will still be played on Saturdays, but teams will either play those teams here in Eagan or travel to those cities to play. Or, you may be playing another Eagan team.
  • We will be using adult certified referees for all of our games.
  • All parents will be required to volunteer to help with our program. There will be lots of different options to choose from that will hopefully suit everyone's needs. A $150 deposit check will be required at the start of the season. Your check will NOT be cashed, unless you fail to fulfill your volunteer duties for the season.
  • Teams will be evened out based on height, years of experience, and skill level in order to ensure teams are not stacked. With more even teams, it's a more enjoyable experience for all teams.
  • The 4th grade girls, 5/6th grade girls, and 5/6th grade boys will participate in a South Suburban Youth Basketball season tournament the weekend of March 8-9, 2019. 4th grade girls will have the option to participate in the MYAS Rec + State Tournament.

Season will run from January 5 - March 10, 2019. Anticipate 2 practices per week at ISD196 elementary gyms on weeknights until games begin January 19th.  After that 1 practice per week with Saturday morning or early afternoon game.  End of season tournament planned for March 8-9, 2019.

Early Bird Registration: $135

After November 16th: $165
