Registration Now Open for 1st-3rd In-House Basketball!

Registration is open for the 2018 1st - 3rd Eagan In House Basketball Program! Registration will close on Friday, September 21st. A $25 late fee will be charged to registrations received after August 31st.

Cost for Grades 1-3: $85

A $25 late fee will be in effect from August 31st to September 21st.

There will be one practice during the week and one game on Saturdays.

For 1st and 2nd grade, practices will start the week of October 22nd, with the season ending on December 15th. There will be no practices or games the week of Thanksgiving.

3rd grade will start the week of October 15th and end their season on December 15th. 3rd grade will have 1 practice on either Monday or Tuesday the week of Thanksgiving.

Early registration is very important as the Board uses registration numbers to decide how many teams will be formed at each grade level.  Because of this fact, Eagan Basketball elected to impose a $25.00 late fee for any registrations received after the August 31st deadline."

Please note, you will be prompted to log in or create an NGIN account (if you don't have one) prior to registering your child.  This is required to register.

New for 4-6 In-House Basketball!!

  • 4th grade boys and 5/6th grade girls will participate in the newly formed South Suburban Youth Basketball League, which is composed of teams from Farmington, Eastview, and Rosemount. Games will still be played on Saturdays, but teams will either play those teams here in Eagan or travel to those cities to play. Or, you may be playing another Eagan team.
  • We will be using adult referees for all of our games.
  • All parents will be required to volunteer to help with our program. There will be lots of different options to choose from that will hopefully suit everyone's needs!
  • In order to ensure we get parents helping out with our in-house program, parents will be required to submit a volunteer check, similar to travel basketball.
  • Teams will be evened out based on height, years of experience, and skill level in order to ensure teams are not stacked. With more even teams, it's a more enjoyable experience for all teams.
  • The 4th grade girls, 5/6th grade girls, and 5/6th grade boys will participate in a South Suburban Youth Basketball season tournament the weekend of March 9-10, 2019. 4th grade boys will have the option to participate in the MYAS Rec + State Tournament.

Registration will run from September through November 2018.

Registration fee: $135

Season will run from January 5 - March 9, 2019. Anticipate 2 practices per week at ISD196 elementary gyms on weeknights until games begin January 19th.  After that, 1 practice per week with Saturday morning or early afternoon game.  End of season tournament planned for March 8-9, 2019.

New Program for 3rd Graders :: A Taste of Travel

In an effort to ease the transition into the traveling program, Eagan Basketball is proud to offer a new program for our 3rd graders who are looking for a competitive option to help the transition to travel ball in 4th grade.

The new 3rd Grade Taste of Travel program will run from January to March 2019.  The program is in addition to regular in-house season and requires a separate registration.  The cost of the program is $165, and registration will run throughout the month of November 2018.

The fee includes:

  • 1-2, 60-90-minute practices per week
  • 3 sessions at the Minnesota School of Basketball
  • 3 travel tournaments spread throughout January, February, and early March.

This is a highly competitive program, reserved for those players who are serious about continuing to play competitively in future years. There will be a 1-hour evaluation practice to form equal teams and to make sure this is a good fit in mid-late December. If you are unsure if your child would be a good fit for this program, please plan to have a discussion with your coach prior to registering.

Little Hoopsters Kindergarten Clinics 2019

Registration for the 2019 Winter Clinics is currently closed. It will be open again in September 2018.

The Little Hoopsters program is meant to introduce players to the game and teach them fundamentals in a fun way.  Program consists of one clinic every Saturday for 4 weeks in February.

The clinics are co-ed, and the kids will be taught the following:

  • Basic concepts and rules of basketball
  • Dribbling
  • Passing
  • Shooting

Most of all, Little Hoopsters is meant to be a fun introduction to the game of basketball! We want them to not only learn about the sport, but also have fun doing so.
